Roof replacement starts in a week
Great to report that the long awaited roof replacement gets underway shortly with the following timetable...
Scaffold to start going up 25th of January
Sheet delivery - 28th of Jan
Commence works 28th of Jan (looking from tennis courts, working will progress left to right)
Hours of work 7am - 5:30pm Monday to Friday
Estimated finishing date is 12th of Feb including scaffolding dropped and allowing for 2 rain days.
We're told that there will be no implications for playing squash but a site meeting this Tues will provide more details. Early consideration is being given to the replacement of ceiling tiles and lighting although this is not part of the council project.
Club nights
All three open sessions got underway this week with a combined turn-out of 16 players, almost half of which turned out on Ladies night. So lots of opportunity to join the action!
Summer League
This internal round robin competition will run through Feb in preparation for interclub resumption in early March, look out for a recruitment e-mail.
School holiday programme
This featured on Thurs/ Fri this week and was heaps of fun for all concerned including me! Thanks to Tarun for supporting and to the youngsters who brought huge energy to the programme.
