Our AGM will be held virtually tomorrow with the following agenda;
  • Approval of 2020 AGM minutes
  • Club update, membership trends etc
  • Approval of accounts for the year to 31/3/21

We're always keen to identify further individuals to add skills to our lean 4 strong committee team. If you're interested please either contact me beforehand to learn more or express your interest at the meeting.

Otherwise, your attendance would be very much appreciated regardless to help us achieve our quota of 10 members. Enrolling via the poll on our FB site here would be appreciated where you will also find the Zoom meeting link.

Just a reminder of the team standings;
  • W1 - 1st
  • W2 - 1st
  • W3 - 1st
  • W4 - 1st
  • M1 - 2nd
  • M2 - 2nd

Squash Auckland:
"There’s plenty of support in New Zealand behind World Squash Day 2021 as an ideal opportunity for the sport as well as the community to become more inclusive and also raise awareness and funds for the Mental Health Foundation.
Former All Black, rugby coach and keen squash player, Tony Brown, is right behind Squash New Zealand supporting the Mental Health Foundation for World Squash Day, October 9 2021".
We're making plans to make this a rolling day of court action across all 4 courts with the intention of raising funds for Mental Health. Join the AGM zoom call to find out more and indicate your support for the concept.

New members & grade improvements

Not much opportunity for change.

In limbo

Gear available

Here's my range of very modestly priced rackets;
  • Tecnifibre Carboflex 125g (pictured) $175
  • Dunlop premium graphite (Farag) $175
  • Dunlop Elite (Gaultier) $160 pictured
  • Dunlop Tempo 155g $125
  • Tacky overgrip (incl re-gripping): $5
  • Full replacement thick grip $10
  • Single yellow ball: $7
Good to witness a step in the right direction with the move to L3, just a bit nervous of the consequences. I hold out hope that we will move to L2 on 6 October with a resumption of most club activities. Once there is further certainty I'll advise the safety precautions which have been provided by Squash NZ. We are fortunate that there are not large numbers associated with our sport so there are relatively few limitations.

Please join the AGM zoom meeting tomorrow if you can. It will provide a good understanding of the club's situation.

Best regards
