Interclub play-offs

It proved a match too far for 3 of our 4 interclub teams who made the finals but against the league champs. The exception was our Mens 1 team led by Ernie who finished top but had previously lost to their fellow finalists, Remuera. In the event they blew them away with 4 wins for a 14/3 match result. Tremendous stuff guys but well done to all our teams who finished as follows;

Club social/ Pennant presentation - this Thursday from 7pm

Plan now is to combine the social with a Winter 1 & 2 pennant presentation and Round robin league with playing priority given to the pennant winners. Squash from 7pm and we'll split players into even groups across the 4 courts. Social from 8.30pm which will feature feijoa crumble and mulled wine/ bubbles on the club.

Here are our six mens and womens teams for the 5 week interclub module commencing 2nd Nov. This will be the last interclub module until March 2021;

Teams are open for further entries until Monday evening if anybody is concerned by missing out. Sorry to report that the Seadogs name has been retired, hopefully just for the sailing season.

Remarkably, no new members or re-grades in the past week and with no interclub this week no prospect of any grade improvements..

Although we retain top spot in the Club Refs table we have not had any further player gain the qualification in the past 4 months, It would be great if the two established interclub players without the qualification were to pass and also those ladies new to squash this past season.
