I’ve been sharing my life with my audience for over nine years now, and I thought now would be a good time to reintroduce myself.
My name is Iris Higgins. Professionally, I’m a certified hypnotherapist, writer, and facilitator for women’s transformational group programs. Personally, I’m a mom of two girls (one transgender, one cisgender), a girlfriend and lifelong partner to an aspiring farmer, a daughter, a sister, and a friend. I'm currently obsessing over Queer Eye, Schitt's Creek (David and Patrick, anyone??), and Netflix's To All the Boys I've Loved Before. I also love dance parties, composting, cozy reading nooks, Kite Hill chive cream cheese style spread, vision boards, and self-hypnosis (I mean, obviously…).
I became certified in hypnotherapy (with a specialization in past life regressions) in 2012 after getting my master’s degree in psychology and while getting a second master’s degree in nutrition. I fell so deeply in love with the power of hypnotherapy to change our beliefs and behaviors that I realized I could personally help people more as a hypnotherapist than I could as a dietitian. So I made the scary - and exciting - decision not to finish my master’s degree in nutrition and to go into business for myself.
Why do I love hypnotherapy so much?
Because the subconscious mind has the power to shift and change our conscious beliefs, and when we can live from a place of greater personal power and authenticity, we send ripples - and sometimes big waves - out into the world.
Because the world needs you right now to be your strongest, most powerful, most compassionate and loving self.
Because I approach my work with clients as a spiritual calling, helping you to get in touch with your highest self and to live each day from that place.
Because when I do hypnotherapy with you, I take you on a journey back to your center, to the seat of your soul where your highest self can ground you in your truth without anxiety or fear or anger or shame.
Who are you when you let go of anxiety?
Who are you when you let go of fear?
Who are you when you let go of shame or anger?
What if you lived each day with the calm and ease of knowing exactly who you are and let go of any pressure to try to be someone you’re not?
What might be different today?
A year from now?
To help you see just how powerful even ten (actually eleven but who's counting?) minutes of daily hypnosis can be, I’ve created a gift for you:
Daily Hypnosis for Calm Confidence
This hypnosis recording is designed to be listened to every day - ideally in the morning but will help anytime you need a confidence boost. It’s 11 minutes. Try listening to it for 11 days straight and see what shifts.
p.s. If you try it, let me know what you think!
