We have someone working here at the Department of Tourism Heritage and Culture this summer updating these pages with a new design and layout. They look really great and will be live online soon! Consider registering whether or not you are interested in being contacted for teaching art in the public school system, it’s free and great publicity!

Curatorial Internship at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery for Anglophone 29 OR UNDER
Six Month Contract
You must be 29 or Under
36 Hours / Week $15/ Hour
9-5, Monday – Friday
Starting ASAP (Week of July 16th or soon thereafter)
This curatorial internship is one of three. It will result in an exhibition and the publication of a book. The exhibition will be based on the NB provincial Art Bank collection.

Saint John Theatre Company: Scrip Happens- Call for Script Submissions!
SJTC is looking for original One Act plays for its annual Script Happens playwriting competition from playwrights from NB, NS, and PEI. The deadline for submissions has been extended to August 6th, 2018. Electronic copies of the scripts may be sent to Please make sure these are compatible with Microsoft Word. Scripts may also be mailed or dropped off to Saint John Theatre Company, 112 Princess Street, Saint John, NB, E2L 1K4

Festival Inspire in Moncton July 9-14th!

Festival Inspire is back in summer 2018 for a FOURTH EDITION! More giant murals in Greater Moncton, more colour, culture and inspiration! More art, new crazy events all over the city during a whole week, and it's stays FREE and open to everyone!

Dooryard Arts Festival
Dooryard Arts Festival returns July 12-14, 2018. Featuring three nights of awesome live music ranging from bluegrass to funk to alt country.

Monday to Friday 3pm – 4:30pm: Discover Uptown Saint John Walking Tour. $15/person. As Canada’s first incorporated city, Saint John’s streets are filled with enough history to keep even the most knowledgeable historian enthralled!

“Uh oh, Canada” Dinner Theatre
Following the sold out success of last summer's "Anne of Springhill" and this past Christmas's "A Rockin' Little Christmas", Charlie Rhindress and Live Bait Theatre are once again teaming up to provide dinner theatre hilarity this summer in Sackville and on the road. "Uh oh, Canada! " will play Wednesday to Saturday, July 11 to 21.

Commemorate the 100th anniversary of Joseph Plaskett’s life at Gallery 78
To commemorate the 100th anniversary of Joseph Plaskett’s life, Gallery 78 is excited to present A Centenary an exhibition of oils and pastels from the artist’s estate from July 12 to August 5.

Saturday Talk
We will also be holding a talk on Saturday, July 14 at 1:00PM at Gallery on Queen. Join us for a conversation with the artists of "Be/longing" and learn more about their work featured in this exhibition.  

Juniper Community Centre to Unveil Grant Special Salmon Fly Sculpture
In a community well known for its fishing guides and outdoors enthusiasts, the late Fred Grant – guide, trapper, furniture-maker and artist – stood out as exceptional in many ways. The “Grant Special” Salmon Fly Sculpture, now in the final stages of production, will commemorate his unique fly-tying skill and celebrate this aspect of New Brunswick culture. July 14th, 2-4.
