The House that Phil Built

This Father’s Day we honor Phil Hannah, Kim’s awesome dad. There isn't a square inch of the 5-acre EAST property that is untouched by his expertise and hard work. Our beautiful sanctuary could not have been built without him, and we appreciate and love him more than words can express. We, and the 50-plus feathered residents at EAST say a huge “thank you” and “Happy Father’s Day” to the best dad ever, Phil Hannah.

We’d love you to be part of our mission! Our flagship core building will be followed by flight aviaries, a quarantine-vet building, a large event/educational gazebo, a greenhouse and sustainable organic food gardens. You can help by donating to make our vision for this wonderful parrot rescue and sanctuary a reality. And keep Phil busy for some time to come. :-) <3

Check out our progress.

From Kim, EAST President and Executive Director
I love these birds. I see how intelligent and companionable these amazing creatures are. But I also witness so many heart-breaking occasions when people find they must give up their beloved pet. I initially started EAST as solely a parrot rescue, to foster and help with adoption. But due to the increasing demand for placement in this region, we also accommodate those parrots who need a permanent home. Our fostered birds and lifelong residents alike are provided excellent veterinarian care, healthy foods, enrichment, and human and avian interaction, in as natural environment for them as possible. There is nothing that gives me greater joy than watching these birds blossom.

Exotic Avian Sanctuary of Tennessee’s purpose is to provide a safe haven and optimal care for parrots through adoption or lifetime care. Visit our website for more information on education and conservation efforts.

Exotic Avian Sanctuary of Tennessee, Inc., a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization (est. 2014) relies upon donations for its support.
