My ‘Painting in Oils’ class started this past Tuesday at our local art gallery. Who knew it would be that much fun? I have been wanting to teach a large group of students for years and now I wonder why it took me so long to do it! I can hardly wait for Tuesdays to come so that we can do it all again! Check out some photos:
My students listening to their trusted teacher...
Siohan, Ian and Jeannie are focused on their paintings.
Brigitte and Anita with Margaret in the background...hard at work!
Don and George are producing some great art.
I will be teaching another class in the fall, so please drop me an email if you would like to be placed on the waiting list. Spaces are limited so book early. Dates are still to be determined.
I am continuing to teach private art lessons here in my Studio Gallery. If you would prefer one on one lessons in a quiet environment please email me for more information.
Painting from the Vault!
I grew up on the prairies in southern Alberta. Prior to moving to Kimberley I lived in a log house overlooking fields of yellow canola and a view of the mountains far off in the distance. This is where I learned to paint and I have very fond memories of my time there. This painting shows the road from my house looking west to the Rocky Mountains.

Don't forget about the “2017 Kootenay Rockies Art” Calendar that will be arriving this month. My paintings are being featured in the month of May. The calendars sell for $20 with no tax and free shipping. They are going fast so please order now.
Gift Certificates make the perfect Mother’s Day gift. They are available in the amount of your choosing and can be used to purchase original paintings or for art lessons. What could be better than a gift of art?
For the most part, the Studio will be open daily starting June 1st with the exceptions being market days and the odd painting trip. If you will be in town and don't want to miss me please email or phone to book an appointment or...take your chances! I do hope to see you soon!
