News from the Studio
I want to begin this newsletter by saying that we have a lot of new subscribers joining us this past month. A big welcome to each and every one of you! I appreciate that you are here and I hope you will enjoy!
I am excited to announce that I will be doing a “Facebook Live” Video on Saturday, October 8th at 1pm MST (3pm EST). This is a whole new experience for me and since it will be airing live, who knows what could happen! Please join me during the live airing from my Studio and you can leave comments and ask questions that I can respond to during the video. I will be discussing art, inspiration, my art lessons and whatever else comes along. So if you’ve always wanted to ask me something…now is your time! It should be fun so mark it on your calendars. Please click here to go to the Caprice Fine Art & Co Facebook page and watch me LIVE! If you happen to miss the LIVE version, the video will remain in the newsfeed for you to check out at a later time.
Fall has arrived and I am switching gears after a very hectic summer of doing renovations and having visitors to the Studio. Now I’m spending time watching leaves fall from the trees and enjoying the splendid colors that autumn brings here in Kimberley. We had a special visitor this year and what a treat…please stay safe little bear.
Beautiful little bear checking out the garden.
Now that things are much quieter in the Studio I am looking forward to working on new paintings. I always enjoy the visitors throughout the summer, but I do miss my painting time. In this regard there is something refreshing about fall that leaves me feeling inspired. I am currently in the process of planning out 2 commission paintings. It is taking me some time to find my groove again…so you will just have to wait until my next newsletter to see some new work!
Please keep in mind that all available paintings are posted regularly on the Caprice Fine Art & Co website. You can click here to go to the website to purchase paintings or order a commission. If you have further questions please do not hesitate to email me!
In mid-September I began teaching 2 - 6 week “Painting in Oils” classes. I was thrilled that both classes were sold out and we wound up with fantastic students once again! I never imagined teaching could be so fulfilling. It is a thrill to share my passion with others and to see their own painting skills blossom! I will be sad to see the classes finish in only 3 more weeks. However, I will be teaching more classes in the spring…so please email me if you are interested in joining us! Go to the Caprice Fine Art & Co Facebook page to see photos from the classes.

In 2000 I had the pleasure of staying in downtown Vancouver. While walking through Gastown I instantly imagined this building in a painting! It was fun! Such an amazing city.
At the beginning of September, I took part in the final ‘1st Saturday Art Market’ of the year. The weather was iffy for a bit and finally the sun came out and so did the crowds! It was a great day. I love meeting new people and catching up with those who I have not seen in a long time!
Thanks to Terry Wilson for the photo!
Don’t forget about the ‘2017 Kootenay Rockies Art Calendar’….it makes a great Christmas gift for only $20. My paintings are featured in the month of May. There is no tax and free shipping in Canada. I only have a limited supply so pick up your copy before its too late! Go to the website to purchase or stop by the Studio Gallery.
The Caprice Fine Art Studio Gallery is now switching to fall/winter hours. You may notice that we did in fact get a brand new sign and sandwich board just in time for our slow season! They will work great for next summer…but in the meantime, if you happen to be in the neighbourhood, please feel free to stop by or drop me an email to make sure I will be here! I would love to see you!
Thank you for taking the time to read this newsletter. Please keep in touch and I do hope you will come watch my LIVE video on Facebook next Saturday. Until then, take care and have an EPIC day!
