On behalf of the NATS Ontario Executive, I am so pleased to THANK YOU for a terrific weekend of music-making! We hosted over 300 singers this past weekend at Laurier.
And here comes one of my favourite parts:
we were able to award $6800 in scholarships over the two days!
Guess what my absolute favourite part is, though? Getting super-duper-awesome THANK YOU notes from scholarship winners like this one:
... I was delighted to receive the Most Promising Award for the Post Secondary University category of the NATS Ontario Vocal Showcase 2018. Thank you for your generous donation of a scholarship that will help me to benefit even more from my studies in singing.
I was thrilled to take part in this competition that gave me the opportunity to challenge myself technically and artistically. Everyone in the organization made this day such a delightful event that I really enjoyed singing. I am looking forward to continuing my path to become the best artist I can be. As Oscar Wilde writes it "Wisdom is to have dreams big enough not to lose sight when we pursue them."
So ... that pretty much sums it up, wouldn't you say?
