YEEEE!!!! We did it! We survived 2021! You are about to read the 12th issue of Lithuanian Game Industry News this year - and what a year it was!
It started with a full winter lockdown and very virtual and very fun LT Game Jam 2021. In April, shockingly surprising news came that Wargaming is opening an office in Vilnius, with bonus headlines that Melsoft, Vizor, Belka Games, and Playrix also established themselves in our cozy capital. Summer was crowned with an epic GameDev BBQ, autumn harvest added the best mobile game win for Card Hog at CEEGA awards and just a week ago Nordcurrent announced the acquisition of the RinGames studio in Dnipro, Ukraine.
The number of people working in the game industry doubled during this year, the revenues grew substantially and the profits were spectacular. So what we could say to 2022 peeking just around the corner?

Apply for GDC Scholarship
|
|
|
The scholarship program is dedicated to help young game developers from Central & Eastern Europe (see the list of viable countries below*) to go to their first GDC in San Francisco on March 21-25, 2022.
In the scholarship matter of inclusiveness and groups being underrepresented at GDC will be looked upon with special care. The best submissions will be selected by the Jury with Judges being representatives of industry organizations that are cooperating around CEEGA awards (Central & Eastern European Game Award).
