So long, Newseum, you coulda been a contender

DC’s only museum dedicated to the news biz is officially shutting its doors on Dec. 31st and sending back all its journalistic curios (wonder with us: what will become of the Unabomber shack?). But amidst the nostalgic takes, many have questioned the value and legacy of the Newseum as an institution that missed many opportunities to live up to its mission and never quite knew what to do with itself.  

The Potomac commentator no one asked for

ICYMI: In a recent interview, tiresome conservative talk show host Tucker Carlson made the completely baseless claim that “immigrant litter” was responsible for dirtying the Potomac. Both the Post and the Potomac Conservancy gamely fact-checked Carlson into oblivion, while noting that his statements were, to the surprise of no one, more about racist scapegoating than concern for river health.

Half of Clipse, Pusha T is moving into H St’s already-excellent ramen scene with Kitsuen, opening New Year’s with cocktails and hookah as well. Seems safe to say they’ll serve mai tais, no? More douchebag!
