Curbed curbed

The Vox Media vertical is closing their DC site (for now, they say); no reason was cited, but they also closed in Seattle, Philly, and New Orleans. For the first time in four decades, 120 public transit employees in Virginia went on strike. Several reasons led to the walk out, including inadequate pay, insufficient health insurance coverage, and no employee retirement plans.
