New museum honors suffragists

The Lucy Burns Museum opened to the public in Lorton, just in time for the 100th anniversary of women getting the right to vote (white women, at least). The museum takes visitors through the story of 72 suffragists who were imprisoned at the Occoquan Workhouse, and also recognizes its 91-year history as a former prison.
