Union Station concourse recourse

Amtrak is looking to expand its Union Station concourse to alleviate congestion and install more bathrooms, along with a luxury lounge, set to be completed by 2022. While this as a certain improvement, this doesn’t address what many passengers view as the source of the problem: the weird boarding process where riders are forced to wait on the concourse, rather than the train platform, leading to crowded and confusing lines.

NSO In Your Neighborhood is back!

National Symphony Orchestra members are putting on free shows around town, this year focusing on the Shaw, U St and Columbia Heights neighborhoods. There are multiple programs every day from Tuesday, January 8 to Monday, January 14. All events are free and open to the public. (Jan 8-14)
