With so many successful events last year, we decided to make 2015 even better by adding more events and activities at One Loudoun. We start out with the Ashburn Farmers Market opening on May 2 from 8am-12pm in a NEW location in the parking lot next to The Fresh Market located at 44755 Brimfield Drive. Before or after you stop at the market, head into The Fresh Market for coffee, sandwiches, and more!
We really get moving on May 9 with the 2nd Annual Downtown Fest on the plaza, including live music from Levi Stephens, Delta Spur, Special Occasions and Kelly Bell Band. Samples and food for purchase will be available from tenant booths, including beer and wine from Alamo Drafthouse Cinema. A kid’s tent, street performers and more surprises make this a must for your spring calendar.
May also brings the return of the Ringing in Hope: Salute to Our Troops 1k/5k/10k on May 25. Building on last year’s success with over 700 participants, we hope you will join us as we raise money for Boulder Crest Retreat for Veterans and Service Source, a nonprofit serving those with disabilities. We end the month on another musical note with the 10th Annual Loudoun YouthFest at The Barn at One Loudoun. Local youth bands take the stage all afternoon, leading up to the nationally known headliner, We The Kings. Food, games, and a community service exhibit area will round out the fun day.
This summer, join us for casual acoustic acts on the plaza Wednesdays from 6pm-8pm to give you a mid-week pick-me-up. Our Summer Concert Series (featuring Beach Bumz, The Reflex and Framewerk) will be back each month on Saturday June 13, July 18, and August 15 for an evening of music on the plaza from 7pm-9pm. Our KIDS Summer Concert Series featuring Rocknoceros will return EVERY Monday at 10am from June 1-August 31.
This fall we continue the Halloween tradition of the Ghosts, Goblins, & Ghouls 5k fun run at The Barn on October 31 at 4pm, followed by the kids Scarecrow Sprint and other Halloween festivities. We wrap up 2015 with our 3rd Annual Tree Lighting on December 5 on the plaza.
