Nominations for the Golden Racquet - The Best Sportsperson Award

What do Doug Mac, Terry H, Fran Lamont, John N, Marion, Janine and Chris Metcalf all have in common?  They have all won the Golden Racquet for Sportsmanship.

Notice of Annual General Meeting Elections

Any member who wishes to be considered for election to the Board at the Annual General Meeting must complete a nomination form. These will be available from Fran McCarthy at the club, from the Newsletter, and from the Website. Written Nominations, with a seconder, must be received by Fran on or before 8 May. Either see her at the club on a Saturday or scan and email to A list of those nominated will be published on 14 May for your consideration.

Table Tennis Pavilion and Clubhouse Extension Club Forum - NEW DATE 

There will be a forum held at the Tennis Club on Wednesday 5th May, 7pm to 8:30pm.
The purpose of this forum is to ensure Club members are fully informed about the proposal prior to the Member vote on whether to proceed with the proposal, at the AGM (29th May). There will be a ~20 minute presentation followed by Q&A.

Corporate Tennis Day - Entries closing soon

Doubles Teams Tennis – 4 matches guaranteed
When: Sunday 16th May 
Time: Arrive at 1:30 for a 2 pm kick-off
Tennis & Dinner $75.00 per person – Includes min four sets of tennis, afternoon tea, refreshments (soft drinks, beer, wine & champagne), canapes, and dinner. 

Tennis ONLY $35 per person -  Includes min four sets of tennis plus afternoon tea and a drink
Dinner ONLY $40 per person - Includes canapes, dinner, and refreshments (soft drinks, beer, wine & champagne) only from 6 pm

Junior Club 
Junior Club starts this Saturday from 10am - 11:30am. Cost is $60 x 8 weeks and you need to be a member of EFLTC to participate.

Super Saturday Take Two

There’s some big Club Champ matches lined up for this Saturday.

At 1pm the wily left-hander Sasha Ristic will take on young gun, and newly crowned EFLTC Junior Champion, Lewis Lamont, and Blake Cheshire and Nic Mitchell will battle it out for a place in the Men’s Singles Final. Lewis will then partner Paul Hemsley against Sasha and (2021 Wimbledon Qualifier) Glen Crosbie in the Men’s Doubles Final.

As if that’s not enough entertainment, the Men’s Doubles consolation final (Danny Chitty & Tony Unkovic vs Richard Ellicot & David Moses) is sure entertain.

Yoga with Peter Humphry

Pilates with Rhiannon
A full-body, 50 minute Pilates mat class. This class will encourage the freedom of movement while at the same time refining each exercise so you will be sure to feel every muscle in your body.

Pilates props are included to challenge and assist throughout the class.

Riverside Nature Yoga
Rest, reflect, and recharge with riverside body poetry yoga now on at the Tennis Club Hall. Each 1 hr session includes pranayama breath practise, meditation and a slow sensory vinyasa flow. All levels are welcome.  
Sessions are held Tuesdays 5:30pm, Wednesday's 9:30am  & 7.15pm and Saturdays 9am.

Pilates Matwork Class - Thursday's 5.30pm 
This is a mixed level fun class suitable for all ages and experience, designed to tone and strengthen your entire body.
Our classes include standing Pilates to strengthen the legs and improve balance, as well as Mat work to help strengthen your core and improve flexibility. We regularly include small equipment including light hand weights, resistance bands, Magic Circles, and foam rollers to add variety and challenge.

Freedom Flow Yoga 

Monday 7:00-8:00pm - Restore & Realign

Join us for a class which will leave your body feeling stretched, realigned and rested. Plenty of props provided - every pose can be adjusted to suit your body. Incorporating both yin and restorative aspects, this class is the perfect way to ease in to the week!

Thursday 06:00am and again at 07:00am - Slow Flow Vinyasa 

Start your day with energy! We move through different flows each week, focusing on strength, balance & mobilising joints. All levels welcome!

All classes $15 per person.
