New OFCP Vaccine Support Fund

Important announcement for OFCP lifetime members.

OFCP is working hard to anticipate and support our members in accessing services, PPE and other supports as we all navigate through the COVID 19 pandemic and the issues that face people with disabilities.

As you know, we developed funding opportunities like the LEAF Life Emergency Action Fund, assisting members to purchase food, supplements, PPE and cleaning supplies to help address scarce inventory and address higher costs for these items. We then established the Life Enriching Education Fund, assisting members in addressing barriers to accessing supports related to online or in person schooling. Both have been so well received and members have told us how instrumental these funds were in helping them and their families.

In that spirit of anticipating where future barriers may lie, we are opening a new funding opportunity to assist our members in accessing the vaccine, if they choose to do so. This fund is called the COVID Vaccine Support Fund. The purpose of this fund is to provide one time assistance to help members cover additional expenses related to costs associated with receiving the vaccine. These eligible expenses include but are but not limited to transportation costs, attendant services, parking, or other related costs.

Our members will be able to access up to $200.00 per application, beginning March 15th, 2021, until the funds are utilized. For more information and instructions on how to access the funds, see link below.

Important Announcement to OFCP Member Groups Regarding 2021 Member Group LEAF Emergency Fund

As we are all aware, the global COVID 19 crisis we now face has brought many challenges to all, with greater risk for those that have underlying medical conditions due to their age or disability. OFCP recognizes that we are enduring a time that is frightening, fluid and ever changing.

To our Essential Business Member Groups:

The well being and safety of our members is of paramount importance to the OFCP. So too, is the safety of your organization's employees. The OFCP is aware of the support, risk and essential services you provide to our members, today and every day.

As a result of the COVID 19 pandemic and the additional burdens you may face, the OFCP is offering a LEAF Member Group Emergency Fund (Life Emergency Action Fund), which has been created to assist you in these trying times.

Effective immediately, a one-time amount per Essential Business Agency up to $5,000 will be available to OFCP Member Groups who are deemed to be an Essential Business to assist with the costs associated with COVID-19.

The fund criteria will be broadly defined to encompass items/ inventory that address immediate concern. Items like additional PPE's, cleaning/disinfecting supplies, things that are important for your operations, are all considered valid. Of course, these are just suggestions, recognizing that member groups know their own needs best. To apply, please follow this link: Emergency Member Group LEAF Application

Finally, I want to assure our Member Groups that we are here for you. The Board of Directors and staff will work tirelessly to support you and our members in every way possible. Our Federation is committed to being active and responsive to your needs as they arise. Be well and safe.
