August 4, 2019 “A Thousand Times” Rev. Erin Dajka Holley
Again, and again, we are called back to ourselves. And we wander, and we are called back. Our communities call us back. Church calls us back. “Though you’ve broken your vows a thousand times.” - Rumi

August 11, 2019 “Centering” Rev. Erin Dajka Holley
Somewhere, at the root of our selves, the very middle, we have a center from which our existence radiates. Our center. The center of each of us. The center of our congregation. The center of our faith.

August 18, 2019 “A Buddhist, a Pagan, and an Atheist Walk into a Church Together.” Rev. Douglas Taylor
Our theological pluralism can be a confusing feature of our way of faith. While it is one of our most liberating practices, it is also at the heart of our greatest challenge as a spiritual community.

August 25, 2019 “It’s No Longer the Church of My Past."  Rev. Dr. Randolph( Randy) W. B. Becker
"As I sat and read accounts of the General Assembly of the Unitarian Universalism Association in June, I got to thinking about how the spiritual community I was observing seemed nothing like the religious tradition in which I grew up and served. It would be easy to quickly assume by this that I felt disenfranchised or even excluded to the point of wondering where the church of my past had gone. Come and explore with me what it means to be part of a liberal religious movement when that movement is taking turns you might not have chosen. "

Getting To Know Our Newest Members
Barbara Lindsey

Born and educated in Hamilton, New York. Attended University of Arizona with her two 'mutt' horses, then moved to Michigan for two years. Her brother then invited her to live in the the old farm house he'd bought in North Brookfield, with a large pasture right there for her horses! After several years of substitute teaching, she became a fifth grade teacher at Mt. Markham School from which she retired in 2015. She still lives in North Brookfield with her two horses and border collie. Pastimes are travel, writing, reading and taking walks with her dog.

From Black Lives of UU

BLUU’s Content Director Dr Takiyah Amin writes in the latest issue of UU World:
“We wax poetic about how UUs come from an “intellectual tradition.” This is, to me, nothing more than coded language that suggests certain white, middle-class norms are the right way to live this faith and that anything beyond it isn’t UU enough.”
