August 11, 2019 “Centering” Rev. Erin Dajka Holley
Somewhere, at the root of our selves, the very middle, we have a center from which our existence radiates. Our center. The center of each of us. The center of our congregation. The center of our faith.

August 18, 2019 “A Buddhist, a Pagan, and an Atheist Walk into a Church Together.” Rev. Douglas Taylor
Our theological pluralism can be a confusing feature of our way of faith. While it is one of our most liberating practices, it is also at the heart of our greatest challenge as a spiritual community.

August 25, 2019 “It’s No Longer the Church of My Past."  Rev. Dr. Randolph (Randy) W. B. Becker
"As I sat and read accounts of the General Assembly of the Unitarian Universalism Association in June, I got to thinking about how the spiritual community I was observing seemed nothing like the religious tradition in which I grew up and served. It would be easy to quickly assume by this that I felt disenfranchised or even excluded to the point of wondering where the church of my past had gone. Come and explore with me what it means to be part of a liberal religious movement when that movement is taking turns you might not have chosen."
**CHOIR will meet at 9:30 starting this morning**

School Supplies Collection: July/August
Please remember the Sanctuary Basket Collection is for school supplies during the months of August & September. This will be the third year we will provide school supplies for the children at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School. Notebooks, paper, binders, pencils, pens, erasers, pencil cases, crayons, markers, sharpeners, backpacks, rulers etc., are all needed to keep these basic classroom supplies available to all our children. This partnership with teachers and staff, who often purchase supplies for the classroom out of their own pockets, allows the students to fully participate in their classroom learning experiences. Your generosity and thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated by the staff and the kids. Let's help kickoff another successful school year. Together we make a difference!

Volunteers Needed for Rev. Erin's Installation. We are looking for volunteers to help with church decorations and food preparation for Rev. Erin’s installation service which will be held on October 5th at the church. If you are interested in either, please contact Kim Bywater, Jack Pendrak, or Brenda Sears for details. Please help if you can.
