Summer 2014
Dear Friend:

Greetings in the name of the Lord!

Please, remember this date: October 1, 2014. More later, but first…

I write to you on the heels of a historic event, the Centennial Celebration of the Assemblies of God (AG 100). What an experience, to gather with delegates from 120 nations to thank the Lord for what God has done through our fellowship.

From the very beginning the Assemblies of God assigned a high priority to missions. In the inaugural year, the General Council of the Assemblies of God made the daring proclamation, “We commit ourselves and the Movement to Him for the greatest evangelism the world has ever seen.” Some would say that missions is our highest priority. The fruit of missions was on display throughout the AG 100 celebration, as we heard testimonies to the grace of God from every corner of the world. From a small gathering of three hundred Spirit-filled believers in Hot Springs Arkansas in 1914, the fellowship has grown to more than 67,500,000 adherents worldwide in 2014. The harvest is being gathered!

Back to that date: October 1, 2014. By faith, we have committed ourselves to President Gary Seevers, that we will be available to begin our ministry at Global University on that day. Several hundred dollars remain to be committed in monthly faith promises. We need the Lord’s help and we need your help. First, if you currently support our ministry on a monthly basis, we are grateful more than words can express. Will you pray fervently that God will provide the remainder of the monthly support required?

Second, if you have sensed a desire to make a commitment, now is the time for you to take that step of faith. Just this morning, I was reminded of Paul’s word of encouragement to the Philippians, “And with all his abundant wealth through Christ Jesus, my God will supply all your needs.” (Php 4:19 GNB) I pass that encouragement to you—may God richly bless you as you faithfully serve the Lord. Third, please consider praying with us. “Pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest." (Mat 9:38 ESV) To date, 170 persons have committed to pray for laborers every Wednesday throughout 2014. If you would like to join the prayer team for laborers, please visit prayforlaborers.com and sign up for a weekly email reminder. God is building the workforce that is building the Church. We are humbled to be a small part of God’s work of building leaders and sending laborers into the harvest.

Thank you for your partnership in the gospel.

Throughout 2014, we are praying every Wednesday for the Lord to send laborers for the harvest. The workers that God is raising up in China, Armenia, and other nations are the answers to the prayers of God’s people. Join us as we agree together for a new generation of Spirit-filled leaders! Armenia Bible College — A School of Global University
Armenia is surrounded by nations that are 98% Muslim. A coalition of Pentecostal leaders requested the assistance of GU to train Armenian leaders to reach the Muslim world. In 2014, Armenia Bible College: a School of Global University will launch. The first phase will be translating Global University's undergraduate curriculum into Armenian. Then, the college will begin to train 250 people to serve as missionaries to the Muslim world. A Graduate Studies Center is already active.
China Bible College – A School of Global University
Open for less than two years, more than 20,000 have enrolled to gain a better understanding of God’s Word. Formal Bible training has been unavailable for decades in the world’s most populous nation. The Holy Spirit will use these students to provide much-needed leadership to an under-trained church. Enrollment is  expected to reach at least 100,000 students! Global University’s graduate program has grown from one group of eleven students to 60-80 church leaders in five groups, including one group at the Doctor of Ministry level.
