What Works Centre for Local Economic Growth, November 2013

Dear colleague,

I am writing to express my thanks for your interest in the Centre, and my hope that you will continue to engage with us as we begin our systematic reviews of the evidence on local growth.

I am writing this two weeks after our second launch event in Manchester, which was a great success. You can read a summary of the key talking points from our Deputy Director Andrew Carter on our blog. You can also follow the Centre’s progress on twitter and LinkedIn.

You can expect our first systematic reviews on adult skills and business support to be completed and come out in spring 2014. We are still on the lookout for evidence on these two areas – read more details here. If you have any suggestions for initiatives we should look at, please do get in touch.

Kind regards,

Henry Overman
Director, What Works Centre for Local Economic Growth
