Change is always in the wind and this year is no different when it comes to how we serve you, and your planning for native plant purchases. First, please welcome our newest staff member,
Sara Roberts! Sara just began her new role as Benton SWCD's Communications and Community Engagement Coordinator. Her job is to raise awareness of our community conservation programs across Benton County, and to foster sustainable practices through high-quality, place-based education. Her passion for, and experience in, environmental education across the US and Australia makes Sara the perfect person to engage with Benton County community members on topics including invasive species, watersheds, habitat restoration, salmon, forests and all soil and water related issues. Sara's work with K-12 teachers and administrators means she is skilled in getting kids to learn and explore the outdoors. She has a passion for Pacific Northwest ecosystems and native plants, and spends as much time as she can in her home garden. Welcome Sara!
