Road Safety Audit Virtual Workshop for Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety
April 27 - 29, 2021
Road Safety Audits (RSAs) are the formal safety performance examinations of an existing or future road or intersection by an independent, multidisciplinary team to qualitatively estimate and report on potential road safety issues and identify opportunities for improvements in safety for all road users.
The Federal Highway Administration’s Office of Safety prioritizes technical assistance and training to cities with the highest nationwide rates of pedestrian crashes and fatalities, including the Dallas-Fort Worth region. Continuing this support of federal guidance, FHWA and the North Central Texas Council of Governments are collaborating to offer a Road Safety Audit Virtual Workshop for Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety, where planners, engineers, public safety officials, consultants, and other community stakeholders will have the opportunity to learn how to conduct RSAs (single workshop, comprised of four, 2-hour sessions). There is no fee to attend.
