Use Your Skills to Transform Public Services
We are accepting applications until 5 p.m. on May 28 for a senior design-research fellow!
PPL fellows are professionals with work experience related to policy or service design. The senior design-research fellow will have experience running human-centered research engagements and working with a broad range of partners, including individuals from historically disempowered communities.
Fellows contribute to all phases of PPL project work – from discovery research through pilot evaluation – and to organizational development, communications, and events. Fellows are paid; they receive mentoring by PPL staff and join our international community of multi-disciplinary researchers, strategists, and designers.
During the program period, PPL will design and test policies and programs with multiple government and community partners. Upcoming projects include efforts to help homeless shelter staff better assist New Yorkers in finding permanent housing, to better deliver trauma-informed care services to at-risk families, to understand how hospital staff are being trained in infection-control methods, and more.
