azk weekly digest - 08/05

Hi everyone,

On this week's newsletter, we'd like to share with you this little experiment our friends at Evernote's Developers Relations team did using azk.

At Azuki, we always believed that publishing manifest files for orchestrating development environments with azk (Azkfile.js) could drastically facilitate the experimentation of demo code/application for any APIs.

According to Evernote's team own tests, that reduced the time required to go from zero to running their demo app to just 10 minutes (including installing azk!).

Check the link below to find out how.

In other news, Docker-competitor CoreOS spins off its App Container project into a separate foundation with the support of Google, VMware, Red Hat, and Apcera.

Also, Heroku, who pioneered and made PaaS (Platform as a Service) a mainstream concept, tells how that they've been using their own internal implementation of containers in order to make the PaaS model viable. Now, they're launching a local development environment orchestrator that works in sync with their model for dev/prod parity.

That's it for today. See you all next week!

Keep coding,
Azuki Team
