In the Studio
A highlight this past month was having the International SAORI Kai that Mihoko of SAORI Worcester and I collaborated on. What fun to see over 40 people gathered to share their love of SAORI Weaving and be in community. We are hoping to do this again in June - stay tuned for details!
I have been enjoying Zoom classes in the studio these past months as well as exploring various types of weaving with the SAORI Explorations study group. I've had one-on-one classes, group classes as well as continuing the small group hangouts that are like a mini-SAORI Kai. The next Hangouts are April 9 and May 7.
In the next two months I have a variety of classes on offer and am open to suggestions for ideas. Please check my website and the bottom of this newsletter for classes. To register, please email me to register as I don't have an online registration system yet.
I'm planning on starting up a new Study Group - this one will happen over the summer - from May through October. So, if you think you'll be weaving this summer and want to join me, please let me know and I can send you details.
In the Shop
I have many beautiful pre-wound warps in the shop for you to choose from - wool, cotton, silk and cashmere as well as the versatile black pre-wound warps that are always on hand.
SAORI has just discontinued their Tussah Silk sets, so if you are looking for some of that beautiful silk, I still have some colours in stock.
SAORI Tussah Silks
I have been making up "curated baskets" lately with a variety of yarns - some full cones, some partial cones, bits of ribbon, local Salt Spring locks, roving, sari silk strips and other yarns. If you are looking for something in a particular colour or price range let me know and I can put a custom basket together for you.

Mihoko has been busy lately. Not only has she worked on the SAORI Kai with me, but she has organized two virtual SAORI Fashion Shows. They are full of inspiration and SAORI smiles. Please check them out - and subscribe to her YouTube channel.

Second SAORI Fashion Show
AND - if you missed being in these shows, there is one more to come. The deadline is June 1st to submit a short video to Mihoko for the next Fashion Show.
Thanks Mihoko-san! We are enjoying seeing all these SAORI Fashions.
