Stop By and Say Hi!
We will be at the Paso Farmers Market on Saturdays in June

Paso Food Co-op made it’s 2021 debut at the Paso Robles Farmers Market, May 22! It was a beautiful sunny day with a steady stream of shoppers throughout the event. Four Paso Food Co-op Owner-Members shared the story and the mission of the Co-op while handing out printed information and answering questions. We had scrumptious mini chocolates generously donated to our Co-op by Equal Exchange for such an event as this. (Equal Exchange is a for-profit Fairtrade worker-owned, cooperative headquartered in Massachusetts.)

Co-op Owner-Member, Arthur Monahan, grabbed one of our Co-op Yard Signs that says, “I am a Proud Member of the Paso Food Co-op” and slowly walked the market as a moving advertisement. Several people asked him “what is this Co-op?” Thank you, Arthur! Several curious people took printed information with them, and (drum roll please!) we gained a new owner/member! HURRAY! Please stop by and say hello if you are already an Owner-Member. We would absolutely love to meet you! Until then ... keep spreading the word.

Note: If anyone out there has a pop-up canopy you would love to donate and is in decent shape we can send someone to pick it up!

The path to Bethel Rd. has been one of passion, experimentation and homage to the tradition of spirit making from around the world. Since Niels Udsen’s time living in Italy, making Italian style Grappa has been something he dreamed of. After acquiring one of the first distilling licenses in the county and an Arnold Holstein Bavarian Still the dream has finally become a reality.

"Why did I/we join the Co-op?”    Supporting our local community is one of our core values and the co-op is a great opportunity to support local! We are also huge proponents of local and organic produce and and want to be a part of any movement that is working support that.

The Covid lockdowns made us shift to online sales, something we were luckily already doing and also gave us the opportunity to do a remodel and finish up lots of projects that are difficult to get to when you are open every day. We also had to shift to seated outdoor tastings once we opened back up and we feel the experience is here to stay.
