Reformation Fest. This Sunday we will celebrate the 501st anniversary of the Reformation (wear red!). At 10 a.m. there will be a Luther Walk, an interactive experience staged across the church property. Come walk with Luther to learn about the history of the Reformation. At noon please stay for fun, fellowship, and food as we hold a quasi-German potluck. Brats will be provided. Please bring sides or desserts to share, German-inspired if you can. Taylor will be leading a family craft activity during this time, too. Come join the fun this Sunday!
Outreach bingo. Please join us for an Outreach event this Saturday, October 27, 10:30–11:30 a.m. We will be hosting Bingo at Meadowood Assisted Living, 4545 Merlot Avenue, Grapevine. It's going to be a howling fun time with lots of Halloween boos, ghouls, and goblins. We will be putting together Trick or Treat bags with prizes for the residents around 9:30 a.m. at Pat and Kenn Mingus' house, or just show up at Meadowood and enjoy helping out a resident find B-1. Please contact Karen Hurtado if you have any questions.
The Brave Special Olympics Banquet. On Sunday, November 11, at 6:00 p.m. the Brave Special Olympics team will return for the 8th AGLC-sponsored Sports Banquet. This year’s theme is “Reaching for the Stars.” The Brave provides continued engagement among peers, community and nation for young adult athletes who have aged out of school programs. The Brave is is growing in numbers and sporting events (please consider sharing your skills by volunteering to assist or coach).
