| Artist's Notes
I hope that your holidays have been as filled with love as mine have been. My husband and I had the wonderful opportunity to go to Taos, New Mexico, and see our son and his beautiful wife. We had such a lovely time! We finally had the opportunity to take a family picture in their beautiful, creative home!
We hope that your New Year is filled with Love!
Another year is coming to an end, and with it, I am cherishing the memories. My heart is full of gratefulness for having met some of you for the first time this year. It has been a joy to share my art with you. I am thankful for all of you who have been part of my life for the many years I have been creating art; your encouragement and love for my art have touched my heart and given me a connection to this wonderful community that I have lived in for 20 years! Thank you! I will miss seeing your smiles!
This coming year will be full of new adventures. My home received an offer and we'll be closing in the first part of February. Yippee! No more house showings! My new home will be in Edwardsville, Illinois, 25 minutes from St Louis, Missouri, where my husband will work. I will continue to create my art, promise to keep everyone posted on all art happenings, and I still will be teaching. In April I will be back in Taos to greet my new grandbaby boy! I will be back in the area for a miniature exhibition at Page Walker in July, and that is only half of my year! Who knows what the rest will bring?
Before leaving, I do want to give you an opportunity to participate in a Beginning Silk Ribbon Embroidery class I am offering in January. Also, remember I will be teaching at Innova Longarm Network Retreat "Birds of a Feather 2017" in Newport News, Virginia in February. See more information below.
Don't stop creating because life gets in the way. In the midst of moving, selling a home, and finding a new one, I am grateful that I can go to my creative side and play. Creativity for me has brought a sense of peace in this changing time of my life. I may not be creating new things with my art, but I can explore what I already know on a deeper level. It is like visiting with an old friend and finding something new about them!
I hear so many people put their creative side on hold because they are too busy. I encourage you to make a little time to be creative, it brings a beautiful balance to everything in life.
