The application package will include a completed application form, a statement of grant purpose (2 pages), a personal statement (1 page), three letters of recommendation, transcripts and a letter of support from your overseas  institutional host, if you are applying for the research grant.  You can find more details on the application for the research/study grant here and the ETA (English Teaching Assistantship) here.  Please visit the IIE Getting Started Pageto initiate your application. Your application will be developed and submitted through the IIE Embark Application Portal.  At your earliest convenience, be sure visit the application portal and set up your account. After you set up your application in Embark, you will be able to work on the application.  As you do, when you respond to question 4A, you will be prompted to select your institution.  You should select Rutgers, Graduate so that you will appear in my application portal.

As you research yourhost country options, be sure to spend time reviewing the host country descriptions and you may find it helpful to consult the program statistics.  Additionally, consult with your faculty about your interest in applying for a Fulbright.  They will be an invaluable resource to you from helping you to identify a potential host to crafting your application materials.

As you develop your application materials, the GradFund office is here to assist you and if you plan to apply in this application cycle, I strongly encourage you to schedule an Application Review appointment with a member of the GradFund Fellowship Advising Team, before your on-campus deadline.

On our website, you may find it helpful to work with our Fulbright IIE Resource Pageand our blog posts that offer advice on applying to the Fulbright IIE.

If after reviewing these resources, you find that you have questions, please let me know and I would be happy to assist you.

All my best,

Teresa
