Most environmental projects are unique in their design, construction, and specific set of challenges. Harry's Truck Stop in Minatare, Nebraska met all the aforementioned criteria and was the site of work performed recently by General Excavating’s environmental team. Working with the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality, General Excavating provided remediation services including: over-excavation of the petroleum impacted soil, haul off of the removed material to an off-site location for treatment, site restoration, and appurtenant work. When the weather and site conditions cooperated, clean sand was hauled in for backfill and compaction, concrete was replaced as well as miscellaneous other site activities. General Excavating's environmental divisionis beginning its fourth decade of business and has completed a wide variety of groundwater and soil remediation projects throughout the Midwest for public and private owners.
