August 25th. As part of their Sunday Open Hours Series, The Dorchester Projects' Archive House has invited Chicago Reading Africa to host a literary social. From 4pm - 6pm, you can browse a selection of Chicago Reading Africa’s library, listen to some African tunes from Dr. Wax’s music collection & mix and mingle with other book lovers. The afternoon will also feature readings from friends and members of Chicago Reading Africa: YAW, Katelyn Carlson, Julie Iromuanya, Odinaka Ezeokoli, and Nina Yeboah.
