Dear Friend,

Against so many odds, student journalists across the country have done spectacularly impressive work this year. They have played an essential role in shining a spotlight on critically important stories, from the challenges of reimagined learning to educating youth on how to exercise their voting rights to uncovering racial injustice in their communities and demanding public health transparency.

Now, it’s our chance to celebrate the contributions of student journalists and highlight the need to support an independent press that can tell these stories without censorship, or threat to their advisers.
