Investigation: Why it's so difficult for reporters to find concussion data

Reporters looking at concussions at the high school and college level face significant barriers in obtaining the data needed for these stories. School officials often deny requests for generalized concussion data, incorrectly citing privacy laws such as the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act. Sometimes concussion information isn't being tracked in the first place.
