Vegan ACT's 30 Day Go Vegan Challenge

Hi <<First Name>>!

WELCOME TO DAY FIFTEEN!

Kym's advice for day fifteen:
Crack the codes!
In the first few days we gave you assignments to clean out your fridge and pantry, and stock up with wholefoods, fruits and veggies. Vegan ACT certainly does promote a wholefoods diet as this gives you not only the ability to meet all your R.D.I.'s for essential nutrients, but also to even be healthier than when you ate omnivorously, since you will be skipping the saturated fats, chemicals and other nasties that are linked to all kinds of major diseases. But what about if you have a craving for treats, or processed foods like wheat meat, biscuits, cakes etc? As soon as you look at the back of these foods you are going to see numbers - what do these represent and are they vegan? Well the easiest way to solve this if you have a smarphone is install an app like Animal Free or Choose Cruelty Free. If you don't have a smartphone, thats ok - you'll just have to make a note of the code and check it when you get home, simply google the code + vegan, e.g. '2042 vegan' and you will get an answer, since many people have had the same query and shared it online in forums etc.

TODAYS ASSIGNMENT:
If you own a smartphone, install an app like 'Animal Free' or 'Choose Cruelty Free' on it! If you don't have a smart phone, make a list of the codes in your favourite snack foods and do some googling to find out if they are free from animal products!
