Donate to Become a Friend of Pride
As a Friend of Pride you will help the LGBTQ+ community in the National Capital Region celebrate, educate, support, and inspire our multi-faceted communities to grow and preserve our history and protect our rights for current and future generations. Your contribution, at any level, will guarantee that the Capital Pride Alliance will have the resources necessary to incorporate new and innovative ideas, suggestions, and efforts into our programming.
  • Raise funds to help keep marque events, such as the Pride Parade, Festival, Concert and Trans Pride, free to the public.
  • Provide direct financial support to the Capital Pride Legacy Fund, offering grants that assist community organizations to participate in their first Pride; and
  • To support our volunteer programs and provide grants that expand access to events and activities for individuals and organizations that would not otherwise have those opportunities.

Various benefits are available based on your donation level. If you are able to make an individual donation of $1,000 or more, you will become a member of the new Capital Pride Legacy Circle.

Become an Advocate: Support Pride
There is no other event quite like the Celebration of Pride in the Nation’s Capital, and no other event brings together so many people in our region. In 2017, we welcomed over 600,000 people to our Pride Parade, Festival and Concert alone.

The Capital Pride Alliance is pleased to offer our corporate, non-profit, and individual advocates (sponsors) that support our mission and champion LBGTQ+ equality, unique opportunities to outreach within the LGBTQ+ community. We seek support from advocates who affirm and support our unique message of celebrating the diversity of our community, challenging discrimination, and working toward full equality for LGBTQ+ individuals and their families.

The Capital Pride Alliance, through its stewardship of diverse programming and events, specifically year-round LGBTQ+ Pride festivities centered in Washington, DC and the National Capital Region, serves to celebrate, educate, support, and inspire our multi-faceted communities in order to grow and preserve our history and protect our rights for current and future generations.
