We are pleased to share the Advocacy Committee's November update highlighting our grantees and issues impacting Jewish women and girls.
We are also delighted to spread the word that Lorie Chaiten, director of the ACLU's Reproductive Rights Project, will be honored on Thursday, January 21, 2016 by Planned Parenthood of Illinois with the Dr. Marvin Rosner Lifetime Achievement Award for her relentless commitment to justice for women from at their annual Roe v. Wade event.
Please consider joining fellow trustees and others to learn about the first ever community-wide survey on the lives of Jewish teenage girls living in Chicagoland on Sunday, December 13th from 3:30-5:30 at DePaul University. This new, peer-led, well-researched evidence on the needs and experiences of Jewish teen girls, can be used by Jewish community professionals to improve the programs they offer for this population.
