Carnival season brings out the kid in everyone, and many of Shreveport-Bossier’s most popular Mardi Gras events are especially kid-friendly. With the Krewe of Centaur and Krewe of Gemini parades now scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m., North Louisiana’s largest parades are expected to begin and end during daylight hours for viewers at the beginning of the route.

The final week of Mardi Gras festivities in Shreveport-Bossier includes the Krewe of Highland XXV Parade on Sunday, Feb. 23—which begins and ends during daylight hours—as well as the alcohol-free Fat Tuesday Children’s Parade on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at Pierre Bossier Mall.
