We Stand Against Racism and Injustice
Racism and intolerance are problems that have plagued our communities and our nation for far too long. It’s time we all take a hard stance against injustice. Recent events have highlighted the disparities, undue police brutality and systematic racism against Black people. The Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau wants our staff, partners, clients, and visitors to know that we condemn racism in any form and support fairer and more just treatment for Black people and all people marginalized and discriminated against for any reason.
We pledge to promote unity and peace within our community in all that we do.

Farmers’ Markets and You-Pick Farms Open for Summer
Looking for a unique and fun way to spend a day outdoors? Visit one of Shreveport-Bossier’s you-pick berry and produce farms including Blueberry Hill, Lenox Acres, and McKinney Hill Farms. Beginning in June of each year, these family-run farms welcome guests to pick their own blueberries, blackberries and more for deeply discounted prices. You-pick farm visitors can also shop for locally made preserves and other goods while spending a relaxing day in the countryside.
June and July also mark the height of farmers’ market season in Shreveport-Bossier, with all sorts of fresh vegetables, locally raised meats and more available at Saturday markets. Check out the large, bustling marketplaces at Bossier City Farmers’ Market or Shreveport Farmers’ Market or meet rural farmers at off-the-beaten-path markets like the Blanchard Farmers’ Market and Greenwood Farmers’ Market.
