Although there are disruptions to our usual calendar, here at Pangolin we still want to energise and inspire with our fresh Newsletter for Spring. We're activating all things GREEN this season by celebrating some environmental achievements and goals as shoots of hope along with taking a look at some of our vibrant artworks.
With so many of us working from home and self isolating, we wanted to bring more of the art world to you by starting up a Pinterest board view it here follow us for some armchair journeys.
Whilst out of office, and with the aim to reduce our paper consumption, we have been promoting our online catalogue which you can view here.
Please email us for a price list.

This beautifully filmed virtual tour has been a huge success in getting the exhibition to you all at home.
We'd love for you to get in touch with any ideas as to how we can continue to bring the stimulation and distraction that art can provide during these strange times.
New in
Light Strings Through Zenith and Nadir, Study drawing for "The Hepworth Wakefield Commission" Giclée print by Halima Cassell landed with us in early March, and immediately made its way onto the office wall. We all felt the transformation within the room - it instantly lightened things up, the organic lines flowing peacefully from the paper.

Although currently postponed, Halima will be showing her work alongside George Taylor in the future upon reopening.

It really makes us smile when we are able to see sculptures looking so fantastic and bringing joy in their homes. A big thank you to our wonderful client who shared these animated and energetic pieces 'Hound Dog' and 'Double Take' by Jon Buck.

It's been a haven of calm in the gallery during Eilis's show, we were surrounded by beauty and serenity during these unsettled times.

RSF is a huge part of our environmental commitment. We have now planted over 20,000 indigenous trees, increasing the visiting birds from around 50 regular species to 178 - which is incredibly heartening, showing we can make a difference. Alongside the birds we have seen 22 species of reptile and around 18 species of wild mammal.
Our concept of linking environment and health facilities through culture is gaining ground in Uganda with artists disseminating their knowledge, neighbours planting indigenous trees and even the Uganda Wildlife Authority proposing to make our forest a designated reserve, something we could never have predicted when we started.

foundry news
As one of Europe's largest foundries, we use significant power - it's important to us that we reduce the impact of our manufacture across our sites, we have now been using renewable energy within the foundry to power lighting and machinery where possible for the past 6 years. Since then we have also undertaken to invest in new, more efficient equipment that primarily runs on that green energy.

Over the last few months we have been testing a potential change from oil to a Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil replacement. Although this HVO does not claim to be carbon neutral, it only has one tenth the carbon production of normal oil; we aim to swap all of our oil powered equipment and vehicles to HVO in the very near future.

Pangolin Editions is constantly working towards creating a cleaner manufacturing chain from our suppliers to the way in which we recycle our byproducts including reusing high percentages of our wax and plaster, to sending our used sand to improve drainage within clay soils.  We're confident in our ambition to become carbon neutral and provide an environmentally sustainable solution to sculpture casting.
