June is Colorado Bike Month, and June 22 is Bike to Work Day

With 300 days of sunshine a year, Colorado is a great place to live, work and bike! Join your fellow Colorado residents this summer for the Denver region’s annual Bike to Work Day event.

Register online and be automatically entered to win this year's grand prize: a custom FattE-Bike!

This year, we’re shifting gears. If you’ve made the switch to permanent remote work or work a hybrid schedule, you don’t have to bike to a physical worksite to be a part of the big day. Bike down the nearest bike path, around your neighborhood or to run an errand. Don’t forget to stop by a station or two on the way!

Questions? Want to get your employer or business involved? Don't hesitate to reach out to Smart Commute.

Join the City of Northglenn and Smart Commute June 22 from 6:30- 9:00 a.m. and bike to E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park (Dogwood Pavilion) for coffee and breakfast burritos. This year’s Bike to Work Day event invites all to participate, whether you are commuting to work, working from home, or not working. Join our celebration of bikes on June 22 and be sure to grab your bike instead of your car for trips throughout the summer!

Smart Commute staff greeted residents at the Northglenn Recreation Center during our Bike to Work Day Open House event, where we helped to provide materials and support to Bike to Work Day station organizers.

Smart Commute was recognized at the Denver Regional Council of Governments Metro Vision Awards for our North I-25 Flexible Microtransit Service.

The Metro Vision Awards recognize excellence, innovation, collaboration, and leadership in problem-solving among communities and their partners. Honorees include the programs, projects and plans that bring business leaders, elected officials, community advocates and residents together to accomplish more than any partner could achieve alone.

Smart Commute's "Wagon Road/144th Avenue FlexRide" has been in operation since late 2019. This FlexRide has some of the best ridership in the region and was the only transit service to increase ridership during COVID-related service cutbacks. The Wagon Road/144th Avenue FlexRide provided, and continues to provide, 7-day-per-week transit service to essential workers.
Smart Commute's award is a result of active stakeholder collaboration, paired with a longstanding focused vision from our founding Executive Director, Karen Stuart. Smart Commute thanks the major employers at the 144th and I-25 quadrant for their deep involvement as stakeholders, the project manager for her diligence and dedication, and the entire Smart Commute Board of Directors.

All of Smart Commute’s continued good work is a result of our partnerships and membershipsTo contribute as a member, contact Carson.

Smart Commute is hosting monthly ridership appreciation events at RTD transit stations around the north area to say "Thanks for Riding RTD." These monthly events are the "Final Friday" of each month. In May, we will be at Thornton Crossroads | 104th Station on the N Line.
