NEXT WEEK: FITNESS FOCUS

WORD OF THE WEEK: "FAILURE"

You need to know that the things that you consider failures in your life--that make you feel fearful or ashamed--are the very things God can use to help others experience a breakthrough in their life to set them FREE from their own fears & failures...if you let Him. Know that your failures do not define you...rather, they develop your character.
By the Lord's strength and by His power, you are able to be obedient to do the things God is calling you to do. That may be sharing your story, making changes in your life, or helping someone in need. Whatever it is, when you learn to overcome, you position yourself to help others overcome!

SCRIPTURES OF THE WEEK

ACTION OF THE WEEK:

What has God placed on your heart to share with others or what changes has he challenged you to make to be healthier physically, mentally or spiritually?

Be intentional in encouraging  someone with a compliment, positive note, or text message today. Know that the Lord uses our words and actions to help others in their journey.

PRAYER REQUESTS/UPDATES:

FAMILY:
Please pray for my Grandmother DeLeon--she had a mild stroke over the weekend. Praise God she is doing well right now, and is still in the hospital undergoing observation and further tests. Pray for a quick recovery and wisdom for the doctor' to do what is best for her health now and in the long-term.

I do want to share a praise report for Tami Herriage. Her body is responding well to treatments. I don't know full details, but please keep her in your prayers that God's healing touch will continue to overtake her body and restore her to full health that she may continue the work He has prepared for her to do.

For my uncle Ruben, please pray for favor with his judge as he faces prison charges. We have an opportunity to write letters of character that may help reduce his sentencing. Our hope is that he will get a lesser sentence and be able to see my grandma again before it is too late.

For my cousin Chachi, please keep him in your prayers for strength to persevere and overcome his situation also facing prison chargers. My prayer is that God would work a miracle to move on the judge's heart to put him on probation and give him a second chance. Of course, God knows what is best and what He needs, so I rest in the assurance that God is in control and will meet all His needs according to His perfect plan and purpose for his life.

US:
I am just so thankful for the goodness in my own family--my kids and my husband. They are such a blessing to my life and the reason that I believe so passionately in taking care of myself to better take care of them.
Pray Jomari please as he will be starting full days tomorrow at pre-school in efforts to help him talk more and engage more with the kids in his class.
Xaigtlean's doing great in school; i just need patience to help her learn how to deal with her feelings at home, namely disappointment and frustration.
For me, I'm working hard to finish up my school work on time without stressing too much. Please pray for good time management and clarity to be productive AND do it well.

MANNY:
Well, we won last night, giving the Chiefs their first loss. It was a tough game, but so thankful the guys came out on top! Manny had a great game, and one of our friends, Chris Clark, who is playing LEFT tackle was player of the game! For a lineman to receive such a high honor is amazing! Just so proud of them. Manny is also ranked as the #2 center in the entire league! Praise be to God because without Him, none of this is possible nor is it meaningful. Thank you for your continued prayers for protection, good health and success!

I would love to unite in prayer with you in any way you need me to. Please let me know how I can serve you!

Blessings,
Iris
