Welcome to the 2017 Public Seminar Series

Presented by the Islam UK Centre

January 2017

Dear Friend,

I am delighted to send details of the Islam-UK Centre Seminar Series 2017. We have organised a rich and varied programme of speakers, and we hope you can attend one or more of the seminars.   The brochure also contains information about Jameel Scholarship opportunities for MA study from 2017/18, details of graduate student research, and reminders about upcoming courses.

We are particularly keen to welcome you to join us for the 4th run of our ‘Massive Open Online Course’ (MOOC) on ‘Muslims in Britain: Changes and Challenges’ which begins on 20th February.  The course is free, and offers a great opportunity to help students, friends and colleagues understand more about the Islamic tradition within the UK context.  So far, over 13,000 learners have taken part in the course from around the world, so we hope that you can join us in 2017.

Admission is free and if  you want to attend any or all of the Seminars please register via our Eventbrite website:  or by using the Lecture calendar on the right.
You may be interested to know that you can now watch and listen to many of our previous Public Lectures on Vimeo or YouTube , and you can now follow us on Twitter @IslamUKCentre and on Facebook

We look forward to welcoming you to our forthcoming programme.

With best wishes,

Prof Sophie Gilliat-Ray
