Second Chance for
T-Shirt Orders

Did you miss your opportunity to order the new HRAC t-shirts earlier this year?  Maybe you are interested in ordering an extra shirt?  Great news!  We are now accepting a second batch of orders until Sunday, October 18.
The shirts are ash gray with the AKPsi letters on the front and the Alumni Chapter special logo on the back and are  available in both short and long sleeves.  Short sleeved shirts are $15 each and long-sleeved shirts are $20 each.  Don't miss out on this second chance opportunity!

September Meeting Recap

Our September 12th general body meeting was held at Christopher Newport University and had 8 brothers in attendance.  The meeting lasted approximately one hour.  Various issues were discussed including potential new community service opportunities and fundraiser options which can help provide more benefits to dues paying members of the organization.  Due to low attendance, we were unable to vote on the community service changes or membership options.  An email will be sent with online voting details.

Other major items on the agenda included the potential for a chili cookoff fundraiser in the future as well upcoming events for our local student chapters and the status of the Epsilon Lambda chapter.  Look for more details on Epsilon Lambda in November.

The general body meeting was held in conjunction with the AKPsi Regional Leadership Conference also at CNU.  Some brothers stopped by to listen in and participate after the regular quarterly chapter meeting concluded.

Iota Pi Alumni Night a Success

On Thursday, September 10, Iota Pi held it's bi-annual Alumni Night.  The event is a part of the CNU chapter's rush week where potential new members have an opportunity to speak with older members of the organization and learn how being a brother in AKPsi has benefited them.  This year, the event was set up similar to a large speed dating activity.  Rushees were positioned at one of five large tables with current and alumni brothers.  After a few moments, the rushees were asked to rotate to the next table -allowing them an opportunity to speak with most, if not all of the alumni in attendance that evening.

Alumni night is a great opportunity for us to get to know our local student brothers as well as help with recruitment for the chapter.  If you have never attended, we encourage you to consider the next one this spring.

Best Wishes to Zach and Becca

Congratulations to HRAC brother and VP of Inter Chapter Relations, Zach Grohler who was joined in matrimony with Becca Wood on Saturday, September 19.  The ceremony took place at 5pm at the Virginia Beach Methodist Church at the oceanfront.  A reception followed at the nearby Ramada Inn.  A large number of Many Iota Pi alumni and HRAC brothers were in attendance to commemorate the occasion.

The Hampton Roads Alumni Chapter would like to wish Zach and Becca the best as they begin their journey as husband and wife!
