Expo Experience

Dear clients & friends,

Welcome to my third issue of "The Good Fruit" newsletter by Natural Fruit FertilityCare Services.

Last weekend, I participated in my first expo, the New York Women's Expo. Many FertilityCare Practitioners have vendor booths at expos to gain more exposure and get new clients and patients. In general, we did get some interest from the crowd and it was an experience that I'd like to share more about with you in this week's issue.

The audience at the expo was a good representation of the general population of women, so it was interesting to hear their views about FertilityCare and NaProTechnology even just in passing by the booth.
There were some women who knew that they could definitely benefit from our services based on our quick "reproductive health screen," which asked questions about menstrual history, abnormal bleeding, pelvic pain, premenstrual (PMS) symptoms, symptoms of polycystic ovaries, and infertility and recurrent miscarriage.
However, there were 3 other common responses that I'd like to share here.
1. Fertility? That doesn't apply to me! I don't want children right now.
Women naturally have menstrual and fertility cycles, regardless of their relationship status and pregnancy intentions. The Creighton Model System and NaProTechnology are not only for women who want to get pregnant right now. In fact, the Creighton Model System is a highly effective natural method for avoiding pregnancy too. Furthermore, FertilityCare charting can be used to assess the woman's health and with NaProTechnology can diagnose and treat many women's health issues (again, even those unrelated to pregnancy itself).
2. I'm too old. This doesn't apply to me.
The Creighton Model System and NaProTechnology are for women and couples in their reproductive years (after puberty and before menopause). However, even if someone is not in that age group, he or she might still know of others who are. Because of this, we still think that this applies to everyone. So go ahead and tell this to all of your family and friends!
3. I wish I knew about this before, since I had infertility (and never had children).
The Creighton Model System and NaProTechnology are relatively new. Dr. Hilgers first published the Creighton Model System in 1980 and later invented NaProTechnology in 1991. Since then, more and more FertilityCare Practitioners and NaProTechnology physicians and surgeons are being trained, spreading the knowledge and availability of our services. FertilityCare instruction and NaProTechnology healthcare has only been in our immediate local area for the last 5 years. It is unfortunate when people do not know about this as an option now, especially as an alternative to artificial reproductive technologies. We hope that you will help us to spread the word to others!
Have a fruitful day!
