|This monthly newsletter looks at the next New Moon and the main astrological activity over the coming lunar month.
The 24 hours immediately following any New Moon is a very powerful time for manifestation, so put out your intentions!
A cosmic wake-up call
Time to restore balance & harmony
Hi <<First Name>>
Thankfully this is a relatively quiet month after all the astrological activity last lunar month! This year seems to be whizzing past and we're already in October. If your thoughts are (dare I say it) turning to Christmas, remember that Astrology Gift Certificates or Zodiac Astrology Reports all make excellent gifts - gifts that could really make a difference in someone's life.
The New Moon falls in Libra on Tues 13 Oct, starting a new cycle in your relationships and relating to others generally. There may well be sudden, unexpected events around this New Moon – things that shake people up, and remind us that life is not as solid and predictable as we like to believe. For some people this can be exciting – for others it may rock their world. Essentially this is an invitation from the Universe to bring more conscious awareness into your life, to be present in every moment, more awake, aware and alive.
The New Moon in Libra brings a renewed emphasis on the need for harmony and fairness in all aspects of your life. Libra is the sign of the born diplomat, the mediator who can always see both sides of any issue. The symbol for Libra is the scales, where things can be weighed and balanced. With the New Moon in Libra, this lunar month is a good time to focus on restoring balance in your life, giving you the opportunity to consolidate the theme of the Equinox last month (see last month’s newsletter) by implementing whatever changes are required to bring your life back into balance.
If your birthday is close to this New Moon, this marks the beginning of a significant new cycle in your life in terms of your identity and your sense of purpose. If you have a planet at 19 degrees of Libra, this marks the beginning of a new cycle in whatever that planet symbolises (eg relationships for Venus).
Even if this New Moon doesn’t contact any planets in your chart, look at the house it falls in – this tells you the area of your life where a new cycle is starting.
Remember to put out your New Moon intentions within 24 hours of the New Moon. The New Moon is exact at 10.05am AEST.
Tension between traditional ways of doing things and innovative approaches is likely to come to a head around Fri 23 Oct as Saturn and Uranus form a challenging contact. These two approaches are natural opposites - the old vs the new, the establishment vs the revolutionaries - but the cosmic invitation here is to integrate the two and find a solution where both can be honoured. The astrology suggests this can be achieved relatively easily, with just a bit of effort on each side.
The lovers Venus and Mars are in health-conscious Virgo for most of this lunar month and because they are both in the same sign, they are very much in tune right now. With Jupiter also in Virgo, the perfectionist nature of Virgo is likely to get exaggerated. In their zeal for improving their relationship, the lovers could be perceived as being critical of each other – but more positively, this could simply result in focusing on practical ways to improve the relationship.
Venus is slowly catching up with Mars and the lovers are united on Tues 3 Nov. However friction is likely to enter the relationship soon afterwards, once Venus moves into the following sign Libra on Mon 9 Nov (AEST) and the lovers are no longer on the same page. For Venus herself, this is a far better place to be as she is now in her home sign, delighting in harmony of all kinds – whether interpersonal or artistic. Libra’s an outgoing, social sign so Venus is now likely to be out and about, enjoying herself socializing.
The Full Moon falls in Taurus on Tues 27 Oct, bringing into focus your ability to be sensuous and grounded, an excellent time to indulge the senses and pamper the body. This Full Moon invites us to find a balance between physical sensuality and emotional depth. Check your birth chart to see which house is under the spotlight at 3 degrees Taurus. This Full Moon is exact at 10.05pm Queensland time.
Looking ahead to next lunar month
