Dear CSA Community,
As you all know, COVID is still with us, but things have changed and evolved since last summer. We anticipate more changes in the coming months, however, we are making decisions based on our current knowledge. In spite of the Omicron variant beginning to recede and mask mandates beginning to be lifted, we want to be prepared in case there are new variants that are more contagious or more severe than what we have experienced. Therefore, we will do things a little differently this summer. The Board of Trustees is planning for the 2022 season and we are happy to say, we will be open! That said, we still will approach it cautiously. Listed below are our current health and safety policies and protocols for the summer. We are committed to creating the best possible environment for all, while keeping everyone safe. Our success depends on all of us committing to follow these policies and working together to combat the challenges posed by COVID-19.
  • Youth activities will take place outdoors again this summer.
Singing Activities
To participate in indoor singing activities including the Choir, Children’s Operetta and Adult Musical, you must be vaccinated and show proof of vaccination. CDC guidelines - everyone ages 5 and over can get vaccinated. We will provide logistical information closer to the summer.
  • This includes performers, directors, stage crew and musical support.
  • Participation in the Children's Operetta will require registration prior to rehearsals to confirm participation in the event. Registration details will follow closer to the summer.
  • When the season opens, we will follow current recommendations by the CDC and the American Choral Directors Association regarding wearing masks while performing.

The Board respects your right to vaccinate or not to vaccinate yourself or your children. While the CSA will take steps in accordance with the federal, state and county health guidance, the CSA cannot be a guarantor of your or your family’s safety from COVID. You are ultimately responsible for determining what measures make you and your family feel safe, but the CSA Board must use an abundance of caution, recognizing that we have members coming to the CSA from all over the country/world. We have established these health and safety policies and protocols to protect everyone, and we ask for your respect and compliance with them.
