From Marrakesh to the World –
make the connections with the Global Landscapes Forum!

Join leading decision-makers, thinkers and innovators in a call to climate action at the Global Landscapes Forum in Marrakesh tomorrow, on Wednesday, 16 November.
Experts from government, the private sector and civil society will be defining climate action in landscapes, including:
  • Barbara Hendricks – Minister for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, Germany
  • Erik Solheim – Executive Director, United Nations Environment Programme
  • Hindou Ibrahim – Coordinator, Indigenous Women and Peoples Association of Chad and Executive Committee, Indigenous Peoples of Africa Coordinating Committee
  • Laura Tuck – Vice President, Sustainable Development, World Bank
Discussions will include the newest technologies to manage land use, gender in national climate policy and action in the fight against climate change and hunger.
Six cutting-edge initiatives will be launched, including the first information exchange connecting buyers and sellers of sustainably produced commodities and a campaign to protect the world’s last intact primary forest landscapes.
At the closing plenary, there will be a major announcement on the future of the Forum.
