Dear Friends,

We are thinking of you during these challenging times.

Below are a few of the many online resources available through the library as we all spend time at home.

May you all stay safe, stay healthy, and we look forward to seeing you soon.

~The Friends of A.K. Smiley Public Library Board~

If you're missing going to the library, there's still a way to be able to enjoy choosing new (or favorite) books, all from the comfort of your own home!

A.K. Smiley Public Library’s eLibrary provides both
eBooks and eAudio books,
available to library cardholders for download to their devices through OverDrive.
All you need is your library card to access this free service.

Visit the eLibrary section of the library's website at www.akspl.org/elibrary/
and click on eBooks-OverDrive (as shown left).

You’ll find a lot of options available in both fiction and nonfiction!
More of a magazine reader? The library has got you covered, too! Flipster, a digital magazine service has 18 titles for adults and children. Titles include People, Good Housekeeping, Bon Appetit, Ranger Rick Jr., and Girls' World, just to name a few! Current and past issues are accessible.

Go to the library's eDatabases
www.akspl.org/elibrary/#edatabases to check out Flipster!

Looking for something different to watch? Through the end of this month, library cardholders have access to the popular video service Kanopy.

Kanopy offers access to more than 30,000 documentaries, movies, and educational videos from thousands of producers such as Criterion Collection, PBS, Great Courses, Kino Lorber, and more.

All you need to do is log in with your library card! Kanopy can be accessed through the A.K. Smiley Public Library website (under the elibrary tab) or directly at:
https://akspl.kanopy.com/

Did you know your library card allows you 24 hour complimentary, unlimited access to the digital edition of The New York Times

It can be accessed through the A.K. Smiley Public Library website (under the eLibrary tab) or directly at:
https://www.akspl.org/elibrary/#edatabases

Scroll down to The New York Times logo and follow the instructions given.
