Meet the 2021-22
Friends of the Library Board
This month, we introduce Kathy Rosenfeld. While Kathy is new to our board, she has been volunteering her time and talents with the Friends for more than four years. She is part of the group of volunteers who meet every Monday morning to sort the large number of books donated by the community and to re-stock the bookstore shelves. In addition, Kathy helps at our special sales that occur several times a year. She also generously donates her services as a CPA to prepare and file the Friends' Form 990 with the IRS annually.
When asked why she wanted to add serving on the board to the many ways she contributes, Kathy shared, "I wanted to bring my ideas to the board in hopes to raise more funds and more awareness in the community of our great bookstore." Speaking of books, Kathy is a very avid reader, finishing on average two books per week. From the many books she has read so far in 2021, which one does Kathy recommend as a must read? "I think that Caste by Isabel Wilkerson is a must read for all, as it shows how all Americans can do better in the treatment of the minorities in our country."
Welcome to the board, Kathy! We are grateful for the many ways you support the library.
